Life can throw many challenges your way, often all at once. Couple that with a never-ending to-do list and competing priorities, you may be left wondering how to attend to your own needs. You may wish to find balance amidst chaos and have no idea where to start. If this resonates with you, then you are not alone.
My goal is to support you in finding that sense of balance and calm. I believe through collaboration we can identify ways for you to feel fulfilled and energized, then put those changes in motion. Together we can find the path that leads from simply surviving to truly thriving.
My approach is warm, compassionate, approachable, and at times humorous (we can laugh in therapy!). I practice from an intersectional, culturally-sensitive, and anti-oppressive lens. I will centre your unique experiences in our work and recognize the ways systemic obstacles may influence how you navigate the world.
Professional Background
I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from the University of Texas at Austin and master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My areas of focus are challenges around racialized identities, 2SLGBTQ+ concerns, burnout, and embracing one’s personal values.
On a Personal Note…
Outside of the (virtual) therapy room, you can find me binge-watching reality TV, sewing, and trying new recipes.
