In our modern society, many of us are disconnected from nature, each other, and ourselves. This disconnection can show up in many forms including stress, anxiety, and depression. As a result, we may feel unable to adequately deal with life’s challenges and reach our fullest potential. As a therapist, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you throughout your journey of reconnection. I consider it a privilege to reacquaint you with your authentic self.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, and curiosity. I provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and client-centered care in a safe space free of judgment. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship must be built on a foundation of trust, respect, and compassion. I can help you better cope with stress, regulate and express your emotions, strengthen your mind-body connection, and work towards whatever goals you may have. My hope for therapy is to serve as a mirror for you to gain greater self-awareness and be a source of empowerment for you to make positive changes in your life.

I am deeply passionate about working with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and sexual difficulties, life transitions, acne and self-esteem issues, and chronic pain. I practice an integrative style that draws from Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory, Inner-Child Work, Somatic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am fascinated by the interconnection between the mind, body, and spirit, and will take a holistic approach that considers all parts of you.

What brought me to psychotherapy has been one of my greatest challenges, which is my lived experience of having a chronic pain condition. It has given me a greater sense of empathy for the human experience and inspired me to help others overcome the struggles preventing them from leading a fulfilling life.

Professional Background

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), practicing under the supervision of Kayleen Edwards, a Registered Psychotherapist. I am currently in the final stages of completing my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am a Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have my Honours Bachelors Degree in Media, Information, and Technoculture from Western University.

On a Personal Note…

When I am not in the therapy room, you can find me spending time in nature with my family, friends, and dog Brodie! I enjoy hiking, yoga, Pilates, dancing, thrifting for cool clothing, and exploring spirituality. I love learning about all things related to wellness, especially gut health and the role it plays in our mental well-being. I truly believe that food is medicine, so I am very passionate about cooking and exploring new restaurants. I lived in Australia for several years, but I am happy to be settled back in Canada where I feel a strong sense of community.

I would be honoured to connect with you for a free consultation to see if we would be a good fit for working together.
