Group Therapy

Roots in Wellness is thrilled to announce our upcoming ONLINE 5-week Perinatal Therapy group, facilitated by Erin Bontius (RP – Qualifying) and Victoria Emanuele (RP – Qualifying) under the supervision of Kayleen Edwards (RP).

The transition to motherhood is one of the most beautiful, challenging, life-changing, and scary journeys we can think of! That’s why we want to create a space for new moms and moms-to-be to discuss the unique challenges of the transition to motherhood and build community with other mamas at similar stages in their journeys.

This group will provide a safe space for you to share thoughts and feelings reflective of the changes that you’re navigating, while we uplift each other and every member’s unique journey. Each of the five weeks has a theme around important topics such as mom guilt, identity, and postpartum mood changes. Throughout all the weeks, we will emphasize the importance of self-care and provide realistic, mindfulness-based strategies to help you incorporate this into your daily life.

The online group will last 5 weeks, with the next start date to be announced soon!

There will be a new theme each week of the group, with self-care practices woven throughout every week:

Week 1: Normalizing Perinatal Challenges

Week 2: New Parenthood and Identity

Week 3: Mom Guilt

Week 4: Parenting Worries and Fears

Week 5: Prenatal and Postnatal Anxiety, Depression, and Rage
