“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.” Carl Rogers
We’re all just trying to navigate our own lives, and sometimes life has an overwhelming way of trying us and challenging us with a variety of things. Whether you are trying therapy out for the first time, or continuing your journey, I am here to help you.
I work to create safe and comfortable space free of judgement to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The goal is to help you discover new skills and tools that will help you overcome those trying moments, or challenges that life throws at you. I work through a compassionate, inclusive, and anti-oppressive lens, that I’d like to individually tailor to meet your goals and needs. My goal is to help you achieve your goals. Together we will work to do so.
To make sure you are finding the right therapist, one you are comfortable with is an important step to take in this journey. Please feel free to contact me for a free 15-minute consultation, ensuring that we are a good fit.
I have completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Psychology, and Biology at the University of Olivet, in Olivet Michigan. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I’m registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
When I am not in a session, you can often find me at home spending time outside (or on the couch) with my dog. When I’m not snuggling up next to her, or outside throwing her Frisby you might find me hiking, camping, golfing, or running. Pretty much anything to be done outdoors, I love. On rainy days or throughout the winter I will often be found curled up in a cozy corner reading a book. I find more pleasure in books than I do on TV – and it leaves more room for my imagination to roam. I value spending lots of time with my family. Usually that time is shared of meals together, or quiet visits with tea or coffee.
I appreciate the small things in life and am a firm believer that they also matter in building connections and maintaining them. Something I also plan to bring to the table when forming alliances and relationships with people in therapy. If you feel we would be a good fit, please reach out as I would be happy to connect with you.
