Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy

Is your relationship suffering in the intimacy department?
Have you been in a long-term relationship and feel like you’ve lost your spark with one another?
Are you struggling personally with intimacy after trauma?

Sex can be an incredibly taboo and awkward thing to talk about, but it can also be crucial in our relationships.

At Roots in Wellness, we aim to dispel some of the shame around talking about sex, and approach the topic with curiosity, excitement, flexibility, and fun!

Individual Therapy

Our approach involves looking at your intimate relationships of the past and present, your relationship with your body, your history with sex, and how all of these factors combine to affect your sex life.

We explore your relationship with yourself and your own body so that you can better understand your relationship with others.

Sex therapy for individuals can look like processing trauma, psychoeducation about sex and intimacy, exploring your sexuality or gender identity, or helping to understand your likes and dislikes.

Relationship Therapy

If you want to increase intimacy with your partner, learn more about one another, work to make each other feel good, and have a happy and healthy sex life, couple’s sex therapy might be for you.

Our therapists utilize an integrated and person-centered approach to couple’s therapy so that we can treat each couple as unique, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

We work with you and your partner(s) to understand your relationship history and how it’s changed over time. We work towards fostering connection and helping you both get what you want and need out of your relationship.
