Life is fast paced, unpredictable and difficult – the demands of keeping up can be draining. The difficulties we face and the effects of emotional and physical stress can pile up, making it hard to connect with the important things in your life. Are you struggling to relax, sleeping poorly, unable to slow down your thoughts, overwhelmed with sad feelings, or just can’t stay calm? There are many ways we can approach your challenges while taking actionable steps to feel better.
I work with clients building tangible skills to impact their emotional wellbeing. My work focuses on helping you better regulate difficult emotions, stress and challenging thoughts. I combine an empathetic and supportive counselling style, with practical techniques that clients can use to build resilience and enhance their wellbeing. With my background in neurofeedback therapy, meditation and rehabilitation, I can help you action your goals and better understand your own mind.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have my Honours Bachelors in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree from Yorkville University. My clinical background includes experience in biofeedback therapies, meditation/self-regulation skills, and mental health rehabilitation.
On a Personal Note…
When not in the therapy office you’ll find me playing guitar, spending time out in nature and playing with my two young children. I am a self-proclaimed nerd, lover of movies, pop culture and games. I have a strong passion for evidence-based health and wellness practices. Recently I’ve been enjoying the mental and physical health benefits of getting back to the gym and training with weights.
I understand the importance of working therapy into your life, and offer convenient therapy options including evening appointments, and services delivered virtually, from the comfort of your own home.
Even small steps can have big impacts – the first is to find out if we may be a good fit to work together. Please feel welcome to reach out to email@example.com and we can discuss your needs and goals for therapy with a free consultation.
