Rooted In Connection Yoga Therapy Group
A free, gender-inclusive group for parents of children up to 24 months.
The transition into parenthood can bring meaningful moments of connection alongside exhaustion, overwhelm, changing relationships, and questions about who you are becoming. Sometimes, what parents need most is a place to pause, feel supported, and connect with others who understand.
Rooted in Connection combines gentle yoga with talk group therapy to create space for grounding, reflection, and connection during the early years of parenthood.

This group is intended for parents and caregivers of children up to 24 months, regardless of gender identity or family structure.
We hope for this group to support you where you are at in your postpartum journey. Each 90-minute session will include approximately 30 minutes of gentle yoga followed by 60 minutes of talk group therapy. Discussion topics will be chosen by the participants, to suite what feels currently important to process. Some examples of topics are:
- Overwhelm, stress, and anger
- Guilt and pressure
- Changes in identity and relationships
- Building connection and community
- Making space for your own needs alongside caring for your child
Kayleen and Jami will prompt group discussion, therapeutic reflection, and provide accessible practices to take home. Participants will be invited to explore their experiences, learn from one another, and develop ways to support their well-being.
This is a closed group, meaning the same participants attend each week. Our hope is to create a welcoming and supportive space where connection can grow over time. Children up to 24 months are welcome to attend with their parent or caregiver.
Facilitators
Kayleen (RP, PMH-C) and Jami (RP Qualifying) are both mothers and advocates for perinatal mental health. They bring clinical experience, training, and a passion for supporting parents through the perinatal period. They also believe in the power of community to nurture the health and well-being of parents during this significant time of identity and role shifts. Offering accessible support and creating space for connection, grounding, and shared experience are at the heart of this group.
