I have always been fascinated by the mind-body connection that drives our conscious and unconscious existence. As human beings we are complex and unique, with innate needs that perpetuate our thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. My goal is to hold a safe space for all people to explore their vulnerabilities without judgment or expectation. I have a vested interest in working with trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, addiction, and personality disorders. Regardless of what concerns are brought to each session, I am committed to walking this path together, fostering authentic respect and compassion.

Currently, my main therapeutic approaches consist of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy.  Using these tools we can navigate individual needs collaboratively. Helping, individuals and couples address unmet needs while forging a path forward through the use of mutual goals is a purpose I am grateful to share with others. As a yoga enthusiast, I find value in our healing potential physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Implementing a trauma-informed approach creates and maintains a respectful foundation upon which to learn and grow together.

I humbly welcome all persons seeking support through a person centered lens. In addition I am also an accepting advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with physical or cognitive disabilities, or addictions, for populations who are 18 years of age and older. Whether you would like to book a consultation or chat further about how therapy could function in your life, I look forward to discussing how we can work together to meet your needs!

Professional Background

I am grateful to be a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). In addition, I am a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP). I have earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, minoring in Anthropology from Wilfrid Laurier University and currently I am completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Over the years I have been fortunate to gain experience working with children, youth, and adults living with physical and cognitive disabilities in a variety of capacities. Working with individuals in a helping capacity has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As an advocate for LGBTQ+ populations as well as all cultural and religious identities, it is my goal to hold a respectful, compassionate, and safe space for all people. I am dedicated to helping individuals work through trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationship concerns.

On a Personal Note…

One of the most important things to know about me is that I am a true animal lover! I have always been passionate about animals and felt a genuine connection the unconditional positive regard they bless us with. While I do enjoy snuggling with pets and a cup of tea, I have always been an avid hiker and enjoy all things outdoors. With that being said, I am very grateful to have studied as a yoga teacher and enjoy my dedication to the practice – yoga, outside during a hike sounds like a dream to me! I am travel obsessed and take an opportunity I can to jump on a plan and explore, however, there is nothing better than quality time with friends and family.

I would love to chat with you and would be happy to offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to further discuss my services and how I can help!
