Often times, the path towards becoming the most authentic and best versions of ourselves can seem very unclear, like moving through the fog on a rainy day. It can challenge us in ways that we never expected, and we can be left feeling like things are out of our control. Although this can be overwhelming and disheartening, I’m here to remind you that you are so much stronger and capable than you realize. I would love to help you shine a light on things you may be missing, and support you through the challenges that arise. My role as a therapist is to walk with you through the fog, and help you to take your power back.
My lived experience allows me to take a culturally-sensitive approach to understanding clients’ unique intersectional identity, especially as a racialized minority. Along with this, my personalized and extensive understanding of ADHD provides a unique and thoughtful perspective. Together, we can come to life-changing realizations that can help make the processes of life fundamentally easier to navigate. My approach to therapy is centered around warmth, empathy and curiosity. Through this, my goal is to provide you a safe and judgment-free space to work through the obstacles that you may be experiencing. I hope to help you build a foundation that you can rely on and trust.
My personal attributes, along with my experience and education, contribute to my holistic approach. Through degrees in Human Behaviour, Philosophy, and Counselling Psychology, I am dedicated to a life of learning. After 5 years of working with vulnerable populations, I recognize that my passion for wellness and being a support to others only grows stronger. My knowledge along with my experience, allows me to work from an integrative approach guided by DBT, ACT, CBT and mindfulness-based skills.
Using a trauma-informed lens, I am able to help you build awareness and confront the struggles that you may be facing. My understanding of the challenges that come with the human experience are best managed through acknowledgment and appreciation. This perspective can provide you with the tools to relieve suffering and overcome adversity. I am dedicated to helping clients activate their full potential by living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Give yourself the life you deserve by becoming the entire person you are meant to be – it would be my honour to walk alongside you on this journey.
