Oftentimes, the path towards becoming the most authentic and best versions of ourselves can seem very unclear. It can challenge us in ways that we never expected, and we can be left feeling like things are out of our control. Although this can be overwhelming and disheartening, I’m here to remind you that you are so much stronger and capable than you realize. I would love to help you shine a light on things you may be missing, and support you through the challenges that may arise.

Being a minority, woman, and person with ADHD myself, I bring a unique perspective that emphasizes understanding, empowerment, and acceptance. I understand the complexities of discrimination, cultural expectations, and social pressures, and I strive to foster an environment that promotes resilience, cultural pride, and self-compassion.

Having personally experienced the impact of ADHD, I have a deep understanding of the unique struggles individuals face with this condition. I am passionate about working collaboratively with my clients to develop effective coping strategies, build on their strengths, and cultivate self-acceptance while managing ADHD symptoms. I firmly believe that ADHD is not a limitation, but rather a trait that can be harnessed for personal growth and success.

Professional Background

I am a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO). Through degrees in Human Behaviour, Philosophy, and Counselling Psychology, I am dedicated to a life of learning. After 5 years of working with vulnerable populations within social services, I have developed extensive knowledge on experiences related to trauma, substance use and mental illness. Through this, I recognize the importance of client-centered and trauma-informed care.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and strengths-based approaches. Cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and respect for individual differences are at the core of my practice, as I strive to create a collaborative and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.

On a Personal Note…

Apart from connecting with others in a therapeutic environment, I enjoy connecting with others and different cultures through my passion for travel. Travelling allows me the opportunity to expand my knowledge, skills and experiences in a unique way. Through warmth, empathy, and cultural humility, I aim to support you in achieving personal growth, well-being, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I am honored to be a part of your therapeutic journey, and I look forward to helping you develop the tools and insights you need to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
