I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist committed to helping you navigate life’s challenges and embark on a journey of self discovery and healing. In our fast-paced world, it is easy to lose touch with ourselves and our true desires. I offer a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I take a client- centred approach that places you at the heart of the therapeutic process.
Each person has the innate capacity for growth and self-improvement. I’ll work with you in our sessions to foster self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth. We’ll explore your unique strengths, values, and goals, allowing you to build a more fulfilling and authentic life.
I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can be daunting. I’m here to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic space where you can explore your concerns and aspirations. Together, we’ll work towards a more fulfilling and authentic life. I welcome individuals from diverse sexual orientations, gender expressions, and cultural backgrounds into a secure and inclusive space.
Professional Background
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. I also have an honours bachelor’s degree in physical health and education (BPHE) from the University of Toronto and am a registered kinesiologist. I have worked in the field of mental health for 13 years, helping those on short-term and long-term disability improve their functioning and live a more meaningful and valued life.
I have also worked as part of an interdisciplinary team assisting those suffering from depression, anxiety, chronic pain, OCD, and grief. I have specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). I customize my approach by incorporating evidence-based theoretical interventions aligning with each client’s needs. At the core of our collaborative work is a humanistic foundation.
On a Personal Note…
On a Personal Note… I am a wife and devoted mother of three vibrant young children. While juggling the beautiful chaos of parenthood, I find solace in the refreshing embrace of active living. I am a firm believer in the therapeutic power of relationships. Outside the realm of motherhood, I can be found unwinding with my cherished friends and family. When it’s time to relax, I admit you will find me embracing a soapy reality show. I aim to balance the demands of parenthood, joy of movement, and relaxation with a contagious spirit of optimism.
I look forward to offering a free 15-minute phone consultation with you. This will allow us to discuss my services in more detail and assess whether we are a good match for working together!
