“Life’s ups and downs can be tough, and navigating transitions can be challenging. Whether you are healing from past hurt, looking to develop a stronger sense of meaning and purpose, or navigating anxiety or depression, my goal is to create a compassionate, authentic, and supportive space where you can explore the complexities of your inner world, without judgement.”
Building trust, fostering self-awareness, and honoring your autonomy are at the heart of my approach. I offer a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can feel truly heard and supported. You are the expert of your own life, and I’m here to walk beside you, providing guidance as you work toward self-discovery and personal growth. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, build resilience, and create a path toward healing and balance.
One size might fit most when it comes to a scarf, but I recognize that therapy is a unique experience and must be tailored to meet your own unique needs. I take a holistic and eclectic approach in my work, while utilizing a multicultural and trauma-informed framework, understanding how family dynamics, culture, and life experiences influence our worldviews.
You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges on your own. Everyone deserves to feel confident in themselves and experience happiness, and I’m here to support you in building and strengthening those qualities as we work together.
Some of my approaches include:
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Trauma-Informed
- Inner Child
- Emotion Focused
- Mindfulness-Based
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology
with a Concentration in Criminology from Brock University and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
My professional background consists of working with young adults who have phased out of foster care, in helping them transition into independent living. In this role, I have
had the privilege of walking alongside trauma survivors in their healing journey. My therapeutic approach has developed alongside my role as a support worker, where I have had the opportunity to develop individual relationships with each client that I have worked with. It is in these interpersonal relationships that I have come to understand that each person has their own unique way of navigating life’s challenges, and my helping approach should meet the needs of the individual.
I am passionate about helping others and I found that my lifelong passion of helping was enhanced when I entered my role of motherhood. I have two young children, who have been my beacon through my personal goals and in my professional development. Embracing motherhood has been a transformative opportunity for growth, where each
day is a new opportunity for learning. I have become more patient, empathetic, and compassionate, amid fostering a loving and nurturing environment for my children. Like
you, I am human, and it is in this human experience of motherhood that I have expanded my passions for nurturing the mind, body, and soul.
As a mixed-racial visible minority woman, I have had my own unique challenges finding my place within this complex world. The challenges I have overcome and continue to face have enhanced my cultural awareness and has stimulated my interest in taking a resilience and strength-based approach to understanding the complexities of multicultural issues. Based on my cultural background, I have been particularly invested
in taking a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive approach to therapy. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, or gender.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss how we can work to enhance your wellness goals, whatever they may be, and see if we may be a good fit. I am
