“You are not stuck; you are responding in ways that once helped you survive.”

My path into psychotherapy is both professional and deeply personal. I understand what it means to navigate emotional overwhelm, complex family dynamics, migration, and the process of rebuilding yourself in new or unfamiliar spaces. These lived experiences shape the way I show up in the therapy room, present, grounded, and deeply compassionate. I am especially mindful of the cultural, racial, and generational layers that often go unspoken, yet profoundly shape how we understand ourselves and our place in the world. I hold space for these experiences with care, curiosity, and respect. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in spaces where you feel safe enough to be seen, heard, and understood, without judgment. You do not have to carry everything on your own.

I bring a unique and integrative perspective to my work, shaped by my background in clinical medicine, public health, and mental health. With over 10 years of experience as a Physician, I have supported individuals through high-pressure, emotionally intense, and deeply vulnerable moments. This experience has given me a strong foundation in understanding how stress, trauma, and life challenges impact both the mind and body. It also allows me to approach therapy with clinical depth while maintaining a holistic and person-centered perspective.

My background in public health further informs my awareness of how social, cultural, and systemic factors influence mental health and well-being. I recognize that our experiences are shaped not only by our internal world, but also by our environments, relationships, and broader societal contexts. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, where I continue to develop and deepen my skills in relational, narrative, and culturally responsive approaches to therapy. My work is grounded in both evidence-based knowledge and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

Outside of work, I value the simple things that help me slow down and feel grounded. Music is a big part of my life, it’s one of the ways I unwind, and reset. I also enjoy spending time in nature, especially going for walks, where I can clear my mind and reconnect with myself. I believe deeply in the power of storytelling, community, and continuous learning. These values shape not only how I live, but also how I connect with others.

Community means a lot to me. I enjoy giving back and volunteering in different capacities whenever I can, it keeps me connected and reminds me why this work matters. Most importantly, I cherish time with my family. Being present with my three kids grounds me and brings me back to what’s truly important: connection, love, and intentional living.
