This course is entirely online and self-paced, making it convenient to do at your own speed, as you need it.
It covers the basics of ethical considerations in walk and talk therapy, practical concerns such as choosing locations and planning for weather, and resources for walk and talk practice including a Walk and Talk consent form template.
You will receive one Continuing Education Credit and a certificate of completion for participation in this course.

About your Presenters

Kayleen Edwards is your main presenter in this course and is a veteran at walk and talk therapy. With over a decade of experience, Kayleen extends her love of nature into her practice in any way she can. She believes in the power of nature and of movement, and works with clients to enhance their therapeutic experience through walk and talk therapy.
Kayleen is a Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and one of the Clinical Directors of Roots in Wellness.
Kayleen also works closely with the CRPO and has a great deal of knowledge and experience with ethics, the standards of practice, and how to effectively and ethically incorporate new practices into your work.

Jennifer Lane is your secondary presenter, focused on the behind-the-scenes aspects of walk and talk therapy. Jennifer has a background in business and program management that she uses to help ensure policies and procedures are created in a way that is organized and sets you up for success.
Jennifer is a Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and one of the Clinical Directors of Roots in Wellness.
Jennifer has experience working closely with the OAMHP, helping advocate for therapists in the profession and working in Professional Development. She also runs workshops for therapists on a variety of topics, including Preparing for the CRPO Exam and Working with the Trans Community.
