Your feelings are valid, and you deserve therapy! In fact, everyone deserves a safe space to
express their authentic self, navigate life’s ups and downs, and to heal from hardships. Having a
warm and empathetic environment where you can freely explore and express your feelings can
make all the difference. As your therapist, I’ll help empower you to re-write your personal story
and gain a fresh perspective on your experiences.
We’ll collaborate to identify and build upon your strengths, and I’ll be your guide in helping you learn how to put new ways of thinking and coping into practice. In essence, I’m here to walk alongside you on your wellness journey while recognizing your expertise in your own life. Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused strategies are at the core of my approach as a therapist.
Professional Background
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I possess an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour and an Addiction Studies Certificate from McMaster University, and a Master of Science in Foundations of Clinical Psychology from Southampton University (Southampton, UK).
My professional journey includes experience working with youth and young adults in the
community mental health field. In this capacity I have had the privilege of supporting individuals
facing a diverse range of challenges, assisting them with getting connected to services such as
counselling or housing supports, providing crisis management and suicide prevention, and even
facilitating a social group. This work profoundly influenced my therapeutic approach and taught
me the importance of emphasizing authenticity, genuine connection, and incorporating creativity
and laughter into therapy. I accept clients of all sexual, gender, and cultural identities and I
always strive to provide a safe and affirming space where individuals can be themselves without
fear of judgement.
On a Personal Note…
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am navigating the beautiful journey of motherhood as
a new mom. This experience has fostered deep personal growth for me, teaching me greater
patience and is constantly expanding my capacity for empathy and love. Becoming a parent has
also provided me with profound insights into the complexities of balancing personal and professional life and the importance of self-care.
Speaking of self-care, I love spending time with family, going for walks, listening to podcasts, and gardening. I also love therapy and deeply believe in its transformative power, not only professionally but also personally. I have experienced the positive impact of therapy firsthand, which reminds me of the courage it takes to seek support and fuels my dedication to helping others navigate life’s challenges.
If you believe we might be a good fit, I encourage you to contact me to discuss your unique
needs and goals. I offer free 15-minute consultations and I am currently accepting clients for virtual and phone appointments.
