aking the first step toward therapy can be scary, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whether it’s work, relationships, daily stress, or other challenges, my goal is to help you navigate life’s obstacles while uncovering your strengths, emotions, and resilience for growth! I believe that by building a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive, and safe space together, we can explore the unique parts of yourself. I meet clients where they are, as I believe you are the expert in your own life. My approach to therapy is with authenticity, honesty, and sprinkled with humor, fostering collaboration to best support your needs. I want my clients to feel safe to truly be themselves.

Currently, my therapeutic approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Psychodynamic Theory.

Professional Background

I hold a background of over 5+ years in Social Services, working with individuals who have experienced abuse, mental health challenges, addiction, trauma, and homelessness. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO). I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Psychology from McMaster University.

Throughout my life, I have always had a deep passion for helping others. My work in social services and my experience as the daughter of a Chinese immigrant family have given me a profound appreciation for resilience and the role of culture (e.g., sexuality, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, etc.) in shaping our stories.

I value self-awareness, honesty, and personal growth. I think we all relate with feeling the importance of caring for others while neglecting ourselves. That is why I understand the importance of self-care whether it is through therapy, creativity, or self-care. Outside of therapy, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, engaging in physical activity, music, stand-up comedy, and reading. I have always had a deep curiosity about people, which led me to my passion for psychotherapy.

Let’s explore how we can work together toward meaningful discovery and growth! If you feel we are a good match, I am here to help!
