You don’t have to keep holding everything together on your own.
A lot of people I work with are used to pushing through, handling high stress, showing up for others, and keeping things moving even when it’s taking a toll. On the outside, things might look fine. On the inside, it can feel overwhelming, exhausting, or like you’re stuck and you’re not sure what comes next.
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. You can show up exactly as you are, without judgement.
I bring a direct, honest and supportive approach. I’m not afraid to gently challenge you or name things that might be hard to hear, always with the goal of helping you move forward.
About Me
My own experiences have shaped how I show up in this work.
There was a point where I realized that something needed to change, and that it was okay to ask for help. I started doing my own work and learned how to prioritize myself in a way I hadn’t before. That experience continues to influence how I support others.
I am committed to providing an inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming space where all clients feel respected and able to show up as themselves. I care deeply about creating a space where you feel seen, heard and supported, while also helping you take meaningful steps forward.
Outside the therapy room, I value balance and the small things that help me stay grounded, whether that’s baking sourdough bread, staying active by moving my body, incorporating breath-work and cold plunging or spending time with my cats and dogs.
Professional Background
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in high-pressure environments supporting individuals navigating complex and often traumatic situation. I bring over 20 years of experience working on corrections and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
This work has given me a deep understanding of the impact of chronic stress, burnout, and repeated exposure to trauma, as well as what it feels like to be in a role that isn’t easy to step away from.
My approach is grounded, flexible and centered around you. Some people come in needing space to talk things through, while others are looking for more practical tools and direction. Most need a little bit of both. I meet you where you are and adjust based on what you need in the moment.
